For nearly six decades, Roto-Rooter of Charleston has been a locally owned and operated plumbing and drain cleaning company serving homes and businesses across the Charleston Tri-County area.
Our company was founded in 1966 by Frank T. Thornley, who began with fewer than three trucks and a strong commitment to providing reliable plumbing services to the Lowcountry community. What started as a small operation quickly grew through hard work, word of mouth, and a dedication to doing the job right.
Today, the business remains family owned and operated across three generations.
A Family Tradition of Service
Frank’s son, Harry Thornley, played a major role in growing the company into what it is today. Through his leadership, the business expanded its team, strengthened its reputation, and continued building on the values Frank established.
Now, Harry’s children are actively involved in the company, continuing the family tradition of integrity, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
